Bill Guynes' Remembrance Party at Lol Ha Beach Bar, September 7, 2007

On Wednesday, September 20^th, 2006, Akumal lost another friend and pioneer, William “Bill” Guynes, who finally succumbed to a long illness, and on September 7th (Bill's Birthday) 2007, his entire family returned to Akumal to remember his life and spread his ashes in Akumal Bay.  The remembrance was held at the Lol Ha Beach Bar and shared with Bill's local friends who were in town, and then the family went out on the catamaran to spread the ashes.

There was a Special Edition of The Akumalian, Issue #45, in October 2006 to report on Bill's life and funeral, and this can be viewed at Issue #45.

There are quite a few pictures here of the family, and they need to provide a little leeway if anybody is incorrectly identified or the name is spelled wrong.  In no way, shape, or form is there any attempt to do the relationships beyond Bill's children, especially when it comes to spouses and friends.
