We all know that there is a lot to see and do in the general Akumal area, to
say nothing about along the Riviera Maya and out to the Yucatan and beyond.
But, Wednesday, April 18, 2007, just seemed to be one very special, event filled
day, with everything happeneing within 2 kilometers of Akumal ground zero, the
Lol Ha Beach Bar. Of course, the presence of Ryan Fredette, his parents,
and their friends, the Firths, - they all arrived in Akumal the day before on
the 17th - just made it all that more special and entertaining.

The day started off with a meeting between CEA, the Akumal Council, and dignitaries from the Municipality, and two key elements were .....

CEA's presentation on the Akumal Central Bay Management Program .....
|
|
|
|
and the actual delivery of the Fidecaribe Building to the Akumal Council, who will remodel for the Akumal Police Station,.....
|
|
|
|
|
|
and while that was going on, Ryan Fredette was giving his dad skimboarding lesson....
|
|
|
|
while his mother watched from a very relaxed prone position ........
|
|
|
|
and then Ryan went looking for refreshment from the Casa Colibri coconuts before....
|
|
|
|
|
|
going down to Captain the kite retrieving team, while.....
|
|
|
|
Bob retreated back to the very exciting Jimmy Buffet book....
|
|
|
|
before heading over to the Beach bar and adult refreshments, while....
|
|
|
|
|
|
Ryan kept his eyes on the ball while playing Derek,....
|
|
|
|
who got all tired out and wanted to be a "Local Species",...
|
|
|
|
while across town La Pueblito was having its Grand Opening, and ....
|
|
|
|
|
|
closer to the bar, salsa lessons were under way

|
and inside the restaurant, it was Flamenco Night, and...

Bob & Stef were wondering how her parents keep up this social whirl, and this was before....
