Sunset Cruise on the Kantaris, August 11, 2010

On Wednesday, August 11, 2010, the Pargots and Clouthers boarded the Akumal Dive Shop's Kantaris, a 36´Catamaran, with Captain Angel and his crew, for the sunset cruise.  The weather was just absolutely MMMMaaahhhh-velllloussss, and a great time was had by all.  And, once again, the theme was, "We should do this more often".

These could be referred to as Akumal's Champagne Cruises.

Arlene & Richard Pargot joined Steve & Ingrid Clouther on a sunset cruise aboard the Kantaris.

We do not even clear the reef in Akumal, and the champagne toast is being made.

After a short spell of trolling, Richard has hooked into something BIG. How BIG is it?

Before Richard can exagerate too much, the baracudda is on board.

It is a good size 'cudda' and a very bloody one at that.

What's the BIG deal? I'm not cooking that?

Returning from the northern leg of the sail, Captain Angel takes us into Little Yal Ku.

It takes some sailing skills to get into here, and we have made it.

Richard goes snorkeling after his big fight with the baracudda.

What's the big deal? I'm not getting my hair wet.

Back under full sail and heading south towards South Akumal.

The sunset is playing hide-and-seek behind the clouds.

Put the sunglasses in front of the lens to get a colorful effect.

It's looking real good now.

the Kantaris makes ready for the final leg towards Akumal Bay.

Yes, Stevec was there too. "It doesn't get much better than this".

Akumal and Lol Ha as the sun has set.

"I said it before, and I'll say it again, 'We should do this more often.'"
