Happy New Year
The
first Robin's Best Shirt Award of 2010 did not waste any time at
all, as it kicked Akumal's social scene off right on January 1, New Year's Day.
One would have thought that this would have been a watered-down affair,
considering all the celebrating that went on the night before, or on the other
hand, one could have thought that everyone would be there to be the first winner
of the new decade.
Whatever the case, the Lol Ha Beach Bar was packed, and maybe the three TVs with the Rose Bowl had something to do with that, or maybe it was the new program whereby the Blues & Jazz Band now plays in the Beach Bar on Friday nights, vs in the restaurant. Whatever, it was another exciting event.
And, the two "Local Species" signs have been refurbished and are once again hanging over the refurbished 'locals' bar.
