Friday, May 29th

AKUMAL THROUGH THE YEARS - Location:  CEA info center   

• Presentation of audio visual – “Akumal: Hace Medio Siglo”
• Digital Photographic displays from guests, residents, and friends on the screen while people have drinks.
• Photographer on site, and a person interviewing attendees about their own personal stories.
• Bar sponsored by: Lol-ha ( serving beer and wine )
• Musical entertainment – Jorge Palma

8:15 to midnight   
PLAZA UKANA PARTY AND BAZAAR - Location: Plaza Ukana stage

• 8:15 Salsa Performance
• 9:15 Bandikoro  Live Band

 For sale:

• Cochinita Pibil  and Turkey Yucatecan style
• Lucy's Homemade Ice Cream
• Beer, Margaritas, Wine, Water

Saturday, May 30th 

9:00am to 2:00pm   
DIVE TOURNAMENT- Coordinated by dive shops on Akumal Bay. Go to either dive shop to sign up

BAZAAR AT PLAZA UKANA -
Local merchants will be selling used and new items, food, art, 50th Anniversary memorabilia, and more.  Stop by and browse and support the local businesses and craftsmen. 

10:00am to 11:00am 
Ixchel Boutique Fashion Show featuring swimwear, sportswear, and dresses

 
11:30am to 12:00pm   
Dance performance from Cultural Center of Tulum

2:00pm 
Puppet Show for the local schools, Akumal, CD Chemuyil, and Tulum, and everyone is welcome

“MATANCEROS EXPEDITION NIGHT“ Location: Lol-ha Beach and Snack Bar

• Presentation of the PBR Museum Artifacts in Game room.
• Pre-Sale of “Under the Waters of Mexico” by Pablo Bush Romero
• Sale of Limited Edition Replica of Matanceros Cross and other memorabilia.

7:00pm to 8:30pm 

• Mexican Parillada- Catered by Tacolote with a price of $350 pesos.
• Tickets include picnic style dinner on the beach with live Salsa Band, beer, margaritas, or wine.

FISHING TOURNAMENT-coordinated by CEA and dive shops on Main Bay.

• First prize: Motorcycle
• Register at either dive shop.
• Live music on the beach.

CONFERENCE “MAYAN CALENDAR" by Carlos Meade at CEA Center ???

 
11:00am to 12:30pm 
KIDS TREASURE HUNT

• Treasure Hunt begins at the Kid's Club and ends on the beach in front of Lol-ha.   
• Goal: This Activity is geared towards the local children and designed to be a way to get them involved with the pride of Akumal’s 50th Celebration, learn more about their home, and have a good time. 
• Visiting children are also invited to participate and meet the local children. 
• SPONSORSHIP: Sponsor a Pirate.  Adults can help by sponsoring a pirate.  Each pirate that completes the treasure hunt will receive a prize. 
• The money that sponsored that pirate will go to Pablo Bush Romero Scholarship and Frida Khalo Library. 
• Sponsorships start at $10, and you may choose your child or give anonymously to the cause.

 
12:00pm to 6:00pm  
BEACH VOLLEY BALL TOURNAMENT at the beach in front of Budha Gardens Spa. 

• Schedule will be sent out on Friday May 29 to all participating teams  
• Register at the Coco Propiedades Office in Centro Ukana, 2nd floor next to Richard Mazzola Studio, on Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5:00pm
• Last day for registration is May 28 before 5:00pm
• Registration Fee is $600 pesos/team ($100 pesos/player)

 
4:00pm to 6:00pm 
SAND SCULPTURE CONTEST; show up at the beach to participate. It’s for all ages.

 
8:00pm to 11:00pm
LIVE MUSIC at “La Buena Vida”.
